1) Change address at Post office. Start notifying your friend and family of the date that things will change.
2) Notify car insurance company.
3) Call Union gas and union energy (water heater and gas heating) just let them know the date you are taking possession.
4) Change car licensing address
5) Doctor, Dentist. Accountants any professions that you might be dealing with.
6 It’s a good time to coordinate home and auto insurance policies, see if there are any group rates that might be offer from work.
7) Life insurance policies that you might have.
8) Hydro,notify them of the date that you will take possession of your new home.
9) Bell Canada see if your home phone number will need to change (please advise me if it does)
10) Time to make a TV and Internet service provider choice.
11) School - Courses you might be taken or your children - Could have an impact on class location.
12 ) Tell that busybody neighbour - you never know who they might run into that you might miss telling ...... :0)
Start gathering boxes ------ LOTS OF BOXES.
Decide if you are moving yourself so can reserve a truck or if you are using a mover to start gathering prices.
Talk to your lawyer to see what his schedule is like the day of your closing. He might be able to give you an idea what time the key might be available so you know what time you can start to move in.
